Theme Park Packing Guide: 10 Things To Remember To Bring With You
If you want to have as much fun as possible at a theme park, it is important to be prepared. Here are some things to bring with you that'll make your trip more comfortable, memorable and stress-free...
1. A Water Bottle
Water bottles are essential for every day trip. Simply bring your own water bottle with you and fill it up at any of the drinking fountains located throughout the park. Remember, try to drink more water when it gets hot outside to avoid becoming dehydrated.
2. Sunscreen
Sunscreen is essential for protecting against both sunburn and skin cancer. Sunscreen should be applied 30 minutes before going outside, but it's important to reapply it at least every two hours during your theme park trip also.
3. Power Bank
Guests at theme parks are usually too busy having fun to be scrolling through their phones. However, theme parks have many great photo opportunities, so it is advisable to bring a mobile power bank or phone charger with you to ensure your phone/camera doesn't die mid-trip.
4. Sunglasses
Sunglasses are an absolute must if you'll be spending a day at a theme park. They help to protect your eyes from UV rays and ensure you don't strain your eyes due to squinting. Most theme parks don't have a lot of shaded areas, so packing your sunglasses will ensure you feel comfortable in the sun.
5. An Umbrella
Even in the dry, summer months, we'd advise bringing an umbrella to a theme park. Weather conditions can change unexpectedly, so it's always better to be prepared. You'll want to make sure that your umbrella is compact enough to carry around and easy to open up in case you need it.
6. A Suitable Bag
Always carry a small bag with you during a trip to a theme park. Keeping items like your wallet, phone and car keys in your pocket is never a good idea if you're going on rides, and although there may be lockers to store larger items, there are some things we know you'll want to keep on you.
7. A Poncho
If you're planning to visit a theme park during the spring or summer months, then you might want to consider bringing along a poncho. They are also very useful on water rides, preventing you from getting wet.
8. Hand Sanitiser And Wipes
It’s important to keep your hands clean to avoid catching illnesses and diseases from other people around you, so make sure you've got some hand sanitiser with you. Wipes are also useful for cleaning your hands after eating or enjoying a sticky treat such as ice cream.
9. Hat
A hat is a must for a theme park. In addition to providing shade and protection from the elements, it can also keep you cool when you're standing in line for a ride.
10. Suitable Shoes
Wearing the right shoes to a theme park is key. You should wear comfortable, flat shoes that are appropriate for the weather, as well as easy to walk in and adjust. The last thing you want is sore feet and blisters!
