However, Lighthouse Beach is perhaps best known for the historic Tacking Point Lighthouse, which was built in 1879. It has an incredible viewing platform and offers stunning views along the coastline, so it's a must-do while you're here.
Head To A National Park
There are so many National Parks to explore with the family on the Mid-North Coast, including the Dorrigo National Park, the Booti Booti National Park and the Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve! These offer the best vantage points to see whales during their annual migration, which takes place from May to November.
